DuBois, PA — Due to the pandemic, the WPAL Fitness Center in DuBois postponed their Wicked Warrior event to Labor Day Weekend.
Aaron Beatty, Director of the WPAL Fitness Center, said they had over 600 participants in their Wicked Warrior Event last year.
This year's event was originally scheduled for the weekend of July 24th but due to the pandemic they postponed it to September 5 & 6.
The Wicked Warrior event is a Mud Run/Obstacle Course with a 5k/10k and a giant Slip n Slide.
There's also a free race for kids aged 3-9.
To prevent the spread of the virus, Beatty said they're limiting touch points by providing contactless registration.
He also said participants will fill out a questionnaire regarding their health and recent travel.
Though the pandemic slowed things down for this event, as WPAL's motto says "it's always for the kids."
"All proceeds of the event benefit our kids fit club which happens here at the gym, after school programs are in place for the kids with safety precautions in mind," Beatty said.
If you're interested in registering for this event, head to the official website for the Wicked Warrior Event.
