Mount Union man arrested after leading officers on multi-county chase

According to Mount Union police, a Mapleton man was arrested and charged earlier this week after leading officers on a multi-county chase.

Police say 37-year-old Bradley McMullen faces over a dozen charges, including aggravated assault, fleeing police and disorderly conduct.

Police say on the night of August 10th, officers attempted to stop McMullen's vehicle for a minor traffic violation.

Authorities say McMullen failed to stop, resulting in a high-speed pursuit that ended when he crashed his vehicle in Mifflin County.

Police say McMullen attempted to flee the scene on foot prior to being tased by one of the officers.

Investigators say that while McMullen was in the backseat of the police cruiser, he began "banging his head" against the cage.

Police say EMS was called to the scene to evaluate McMullen's injuries, at which time he head-butted one of the officers.

McMullen was then transported to Penn Highlands hospital for evaluation, prior to being booked into the Huntingdon County Prison.

McMullen, whose bail is set at $50,000, also faces charges of avoiding apprehension, DUI and resisting arrest, as well as numerous traffic violations.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 17th, according to court documents.
